You hear Final Fantasy XIV Controller and the game series probably comes to mind. This gamepad is geared specifically for this series with specialized button functionality. It works with other games as well but it doesn't have the same capabilities when it comes to other games. Luckily if you happen to run into difficulties, they provide good help and support and will answer your questions. The Final Fantasy XIV Controller is best for the Final Fantasy games but does the trick for other games as well.
Features
When looking for the perfect gamepad you want to take a look at the features first. The Final Fantasy XIV Controller is well designed but is lacking some of the features that we like to see with PC game controllers. One of the strengths this controller has is that it is built for Final Fantasy. There are some custom functions built into the gamepad so you never have to use the keyboard or mouse.
The gamepad works as any other product we looked at. It plugs into the computer through a USB port. The Final Fantasy XIV Controller requires a driver, which you download from the Snakebyte website, so you can access all of the functions and activate the vibration feedback. We would have liked to see more custom controls for other games but had no such luck. It works fine but doesn't have the same level of customization found on other PC game controllers.
Design
The Final Fantasy XIV Controller comes with two mini-joysticks, a D-pad and 12 actions buttons. These buttons are located around the whole controller and can act as the F keys that you find on a keyboard. The layout is what you would find on a PlayStation. The case is made of hard plastic which is fairly durable. What we would really like to have seen was a rubber texture so it doesn't slip in your hand. The cable length is 9 feet, which is a good length for you to sit back and enjoy the game.

The Snakebyte website offers some decent help and support. They have FAQs for the product, though not many, as well as an electronic copy of the documentation that comes with the product. On their website is also where you find the drivers to make the Final Fantasy XIV Controller work with the Final Fantasy game. They have a variety of email addresses and phone numbers so you can get in contact with them.
Overall, the Final Fantasy XIV Controller is great when you use it for the Final Fantasy games. It isn't as good when it comes to other games. The cable is long enough that you don't have to have your nose pressed against the screen to play, and you won't have to worry about tearing the cord out of your computer if you're an animated gamer. The product support is comprehensive, though you probably won't need it. This device will work as an everyday gamepad, but it doesn't offer as many options when you switch from Final Fantasy to a different game.
